The Position

This is a field-based senior medical expert role dedicated to a specific disease area, responsible for fostering long-term relationships with TA Experts as the primary Roche medical point of contact (PPOC), for the purpose of scientific exchange and collaboration, sensing medical trends in the market, as well as shaping the evolution of the clinical ecosystem.

As Medical Science Partner (MSP) you lead strategic medical partnering requiring broad business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs to successfully co-drive the activities supporting the optimal use of Roche products in clinical practice.

Region to cover: Czech Republic, neurology centres

TA: Neuro-immunology

Travel: 60% expected within CZ

Career Opportunities and Challenges

  • Interaction with Healthcare Professional (HCPs) in order to understand their perspectives and needs and identify areas of scientific interest and collaboration

  • Prioritization and coordination of medical activities and solutions with the Medical Colleagues

  • Update regularly the medical part of the relevant strategy plan including all the tactical steps according to the actual status of identified external and internal needs and available resources

  • Accountability for execution of medical part of the strategy plan in field

  • Deliver planned Medical Education activities: as owner of assigned Roche Initiated Medical Education events (e.g. educational seminars, satellite symposia, standalone meetings, etc.) and he/she is accountable for individual support to HCPs to participate at educational events organized by third party (e.g. scientific congresses, preceptorships, etc.)

  • Plan, execute and document engagement with external experts

  • Lead consulting activities gaining scientific advice from external experts

Who You Are

  • University Degree: Medical/Science Degree – MSc. (Ph.D.), PharmDr. (Pharm Mgr.) or M.D.

  • Fluent Czech and English language

  • Neurology, Immunology TA experience from medical affairs roles (Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor/Manager) is preferred

  • Proven work experience (2+ years) in medical affairs preferably in the therapeutic areas driven by actual Roche needs

  • Committed to customer centricity, with exemplary problem-solving skills

  • Recent experience in organization of the medical education activities, evidence generation activities and scientific engagement with key external experts

  • Good knowledge of legal and ethical requirements relevant for activities in medical affairs area

  • Demonstrated passion and drive to shape medical strategy and vision across business / therapeutic areas

  • Exhibit leadership capabilities: coach, catalyst, architect, visionary, with proven ability to lead with a creative mindset

  • Have enterprise mindset and system thinking, proven ability to work effectively across squads/ therapeutic areas and networks

  • Able to influence with courageous authenticity and build trust with individuals at all levels within the organization, demonstrated outstanding partnering capabilities and stakeholder engagement

  • Leverage technology (digital tools) and data to generate insights as foundation for diagnosis, recommendations and decisions and integrate into effective collaboration activities

  • Able to effectively prioritize work to align with overall Roche vision and stop/prioritize activities not aligned with decision principles

  • Valid Driving license and active driver
