Plant Engineer – Black Utilities & Infrastructure (m/f/d)
to join its Industrial Services team in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

What You Will Do As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of Black Utilities and building infrastructure systems supporting manufacturing operations.
Operational Support & Engineering
Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and facility teams on utilities-related topics
Troubleshoot infrastructure and utility system issues to ensure business continuity
Ensure reliable operation and performance of site utility networks
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned utility systems
Collaborate closely with System Owners, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams
Black Utilities Management Support and optimize utility systems such as:
Industrial wastewater systems
Sanitary wastewater systems
Potable water networks
Fire water systems
Heating and thermal distribution systems
Compressed air distribution networks
Industrial gases infrastructure
Building utility systems and site services
Continuous Improvement & Projects
Lead or support utility improvement initiatives
Participate in CAPEX projects related to utilities and infrastructure upgrades
Contribute to lifecycle management and asset reliability programs
Support root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions
Develop and optimize maintenance and operational strategies
Ensure infrastructure compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of experience in Utilities Engineering, Facility Engineering, Plant Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food, or other highly regulated industrial environments
Strong knowledge of Black Utilities systems and industrial infrastructure
Experience supporting operational manufacturing sites
Familiarity with GMP environments is a strong advantage
Experience managing technical issues, deviations, and infrastructure-related investigations
Strong German language skills (mandatory)
Hands‑on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across multiple departments
