Overview

FactSet Research Systems Inc. seeks Software Engineering Managers for Norwalk, CT office. Number of positions: 2. Remote positions may be performed in the United States, except Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, and West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of software engineers or projects within the Search and Look Up department.
• Review product requirement documents.
• Problem solving & working on high-level operational/architectural issues to ensure effectiveness of products under direct management.
• Implement & track development timelines.
• Negotiate feature sets with development leads & product teams.
• Set goals & mentor development of ongoing projects.
• Provide guidance & direction to team on software design & implementation.
• Review code changes & submissions.
• Present technical & operational issues to senior management.
• Set deadlines & priorities for team members.
• Coordinate recruiting, training & new hire onboarding for the immediate team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of software engineering industry experience.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, Python, SQL, Perl, JavaScript, Bash/Shell scripting, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch (2, 6, and 9), AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, Parameter Store, Aurora, RDS, Step Functions, EventBridge, Kinesis, Firehose.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, Linux, Windows, SSH (PuTTY, WSL), Kibana, Grafana. xayajpt
• Full software development life cycle experience.

Salary

Salary range: $135,000 to $165,000.
