Treasury Manager

The Treasury Manager plays a critical role within this mission by safeguarding the Group’s liquidity, managing financial risk, and supporting the complex, multi-entity cash operations required to bring life-saving medicines to patients across the globe.

The position will be based in Chiasso, Switzerland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic treasury evolution & process optimization

• Establish real-time global liquidity visibility across all subsidiaries, banks, and currencies.
• Implement process automation, with policies, governance and standard cash management processes
• Implement centralized cash pooling, a global payments hub, and intercompany netting solutions.
• Develop and implement the Group's FX and financial risk management framework.
• Develop an investment strategy for surplus liquidity.
• Optimize working capital across the Group and the overall banking framework.
• Prepare the company for future financing requirements and support international expansion.

Treasury Operations, Working Capital & Cash Management

• Manage daily cash activities for HQ and all regional entities to ensure adequate liquidity and support all the operational needs (procurement, distribution, collection).
• Consolidate short- and long-term cash flow group forecasts, to ensure accurate funding decisions.
• Optimize cash management, intercompany settlements, and internal financing mechanisms.
• Monitor bank statements, perform regular bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely execution of payments across multiple currencies.
• Execute daily banking ERP bookings and accounting treatment of financial performance.
• Support Commercial and Supply chain initiatives to minimize financial risk related to inventory funding, credit exposure, and long supply chains.
• Monitor payment behaviors, supplier terms, customer collections, and fund flows to optimize working capital.

FX & Financial Risk Management

• Track and analyze foreign exchange exposures across multiple functional currencies.
• Implement adequate hedging strategies and risk-mitigation tools.
• Prepare FX exposure reports, sensitivity analyses, and recommendations for management.

Banking Relationship Management

• Act as a contact point for banking partners across Switzerland and international markets.
• Maintain and update bank mandates, user access, and authorization structures across the Group.
• Support the setup of new bank accounts for new markets, business units, and operational expansions.
• Collaborate with banks to improve collections, payment processes, and minimize expenses.

Controls, Compliance & Audit

• Ensure proper internal controls and full compliance with Group policies, Swiss statutory requirements, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for all treasury transactions and authorizations.
• Support internal and external audits, providing clear evidence and reconciliations.

Reporting & Analysis

• Produce weekly and monthly treasury reports, including liquidity dashboards, variance explanations, FX impacts, and cash KPIs.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with treasury-specific inputs and scenario models.
• Analyze trends to identify areas for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking; experience within global multi-entity organizations is a strong plus.
• Experience with multi-currency operations, FX management and Cross-border payments
• Strong analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities, and proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and digital banking platforms.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage.
