We are looking for:
Contract Commissioning Managers (Electrical) to join our team
in Berlin, Germany.

We are looking for Commissioning contractors with EU citizenship.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing the entire commissioning process
  • Developing commissioning plans, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts
  • Development and third-party buy-in into project certification strategies
  • Routine population and management of data in our project management software
  • Undertaking and reporting inspections and tests
  • Assisting in the development of design and commissioning documentation for tender and construction
    purposes
  • Attending project and internal meetings as needed, representing the mechanical commissioning perspective
  • Arranging test instrumentation
  • Assisting in the development of tender submissions
  • Supporting projects during client discussions of a technical nature
  • Reviewing technical papers/reports before publication
  • Working closely as part of a general contractor’s team to develop commissioning strategies and
    processes aligned with project objectives
  • Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals, and technical submittals
  • Providing routine progress reporting and final project close-out
  • Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests
  • Arranging third-party sign-off as necessary
  • Providing technical advice to clients regarding project and operational risk

Required Qualifications

  • Must be willing to travel every week and as long as necessary; duration and frequency of travel will depend on HDR needs
  • Must be an experienced engineer, either a licensed PE or a field technician with excellent understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, the T&B process, etc
  • Must have good computer skills and effective typing skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project software
  • Ability and interest in working with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be familiar with the organization of design documents, the preparation of the multidiscipline designs, and the delivery of the design & construction services
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the United States and immediately available to begin work in the location specified
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operations
  • Understanding of project accounting and financial management tools
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work; ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
