We are looking for an AR Accounting Specialist that will thrive in a fast-paced environment. The offered position is either suitable for an experienced Accountant or for someone with an appropriate academic background or vocational qualification who wants to develop in this direction.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the end-to-end accounts receivable (AR) cycle, including accurate and timely customer billing, cash application and reconciliation in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Coordinating and reconciling financial transactions between different entities within the organization.
• Monitoring credit limits, assessing creditworthiness and implementing effective credit control measures to minimize outstanding receivables.
• Following up on overdue accounts, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
• Reporting on accounts receivable aging, intercompany balances and other relevant financial metrics.
• Participation in variance analysis (target/actual comparisons) as well as cash flow analyses.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams.

Location: Bremen, Germany

Basic Qualifications:

• German vocational qualification with certification as Finanzbuchhalter (m/f/d), Bilanzbuchhalter (m/f/d) or Steuerfachwirt (m/f/d), or with Bachelor degree or equivalent with focus on finance and controlling.
• Excellent MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
• Fluency in English is a must; French and German language skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Experience with local- and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Profound professional experience (minimum 5 years) in GL and AP.
• Attention to detail.
• Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new circumstances.
