Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Sales Engineer is integrated within the Sales Organization of the respective Customer Business Unit and is responsible for the sales development of the assigned product portfolio.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs)
- Prepare and create commercial offers
- Negotiate and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
- Monitor product profitability and commercial productivity proposals
- Manage spare parts and serial production
- Act as Program Sales Leader within the program core team
Your profile and competencies to succeed
- Degree in Business Administration or Engineering with an interest in developing a career in sales
- Experience in the automotive industry in an operational or commercial role.
- Sales experience min. 3 years in an industrial automotive environment
- Fluency in English and conversational local language skills are essential
- Proficiency in German is required
- Deep understanding of the client's business model, product landscape, and competitive environment to effectively position technical solutions and drive strategic value
- Accountable and result orientated team player with strong analytical skills
- Strong MS Office and reporting skills with a good understanding of financial KPIs
