The Role

*please note that this role is located in The Kimberley Region, Western Australia*

We’re seeking a skilled and confident Senior Skipper to lead our team and deliver exceptional river cruise experiences. This is more than just a skipper role – it’s a team leader position where you’ll set the standard for safety, guest service, and professionalism on every tour.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring a team of crew members, ensuring smooth operations and teamwork.
• Operating and maintaining vessels to the highest safety and compliance standards.
• Delivering engaging commentary and unforgettable guest experiences.
• Managing vessel schedules, maintenance plans, and day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Master 5 Certification is a must-have
• MED 2 qualification (or higher) is highly desirable
• Proven experience operating commercial vessels with a focus on safety and service.
• Leadership skills to train, guide, and inspire a team in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
• A passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to thrive in a remote role while embracing the Kimberley’s unique lifestyle.

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Triple J. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
