Technical Director – Distribution Design

JD Ross Energy are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to work in the distribution design space, for our client who is a leading consultancy in the renewable energy and power sector.

Responsibilities
- Specialise in distribution and network design in accordance with Western Power/Horizon Power standards.
- Manage client interactions while maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships.
- Provide quality assurance processes for all team projects.
- Supporting and providing training for engineers to help them develop their skillset and knowledge.
- Actively engage with customers, local authorities and power utilities, utilizing network investigations, data analysis and application of network standards and guidelines.
- Complete design projects including underground power conversions, commercial and generation connections.
- Experience in preparing designs, material lists, estimating connection costs, and securing customer approvals.
About you:
- 7+ years of distribution networks experience (Western Power and Horizon Power preferable)
- Overhead line and underground design and modelling experience
- Familiar with AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS.
- Underground power network design (including subdivisions).
- Expertise at communicating with stakeholders.
- Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Valid drivers license.
