Want to shape the future of particle analysis? We're hiring, together with FHNW!
We're happy to announce that our Innosuisse innovation project "picoG: mass, size and shape of micrometer particles" with @FHNW Institute for Sensors and Electronics has been approved!
Over the next 30 months, we'll further develop picoG: the first analyzer to measure mass, aerodynamic diameter and shape of individual micrometer particles in a single measurement. Applications range from powder production and battery materials to food processing and fiber/asbestos detection.
This opens a position as Scientific Research Engineer (80-100%) at FHNW in Windisch, working hand in hand with the femtoG team, starting November 2026.
What you'll work on:
- Sensor development and piezo signal processing
- CFD flow and particle simulations
- Optical measurement systems
- Prototype building, lab and field testing with industry partners
What you bring:
- MSc or PhD in physics, engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience in experimental research and instrument development
- Background in fluid mechanics and/or aerosol and particle technology
And the best part: there's the opportunity to join femtoG after the project.
A big thank you to @Innosuisse for supporting our vision and making this collaboration possible! Also thanks to our industry partners for backing the project.
