FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.

Tasks
- You develop and test production concepts to validate the process engineering design for the production of the mineral foam products
- You accompany the commissioning and test phase of a scaled production plant in Spain over several months
- You translate the technical requirements for the machinery partner and suppliers and draw up specifications for components
- You procure machines and tools for the in-house development laboratory
- You supervise the technology handover of the future project team
- You carry out commissioning and handover to operations and future project team
- You are responsible for meeting the costs, deadlines and quality specifications of the project, taking into account safety, cost-effectiveness and environmental impact
Requirements
- Basic technical training incl. further training as an engineer BSc/MSc FH/ETH in process engineering or similar
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the planning and/or realisation of plant construction projects; preferably in larger production plants (food, chemical or building materials industry)
- You have experience in the development of concept/preliminary designs
- Knowledge of the relevant national regulations and guidelines (incl. QHSE)
- Fluent written and spoken German and very good knowledge of English, knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
- You are very familiar with the common MS Office tools (especially Excel)
- Performance-orientated personality with high quality and cost awareness
- You can familiarise yourself with various tasks quickly and independently and react flexibly to challenges
- Professional demeanour and good negotiation skills are a prerequisite for this key function
