FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.
At FenX every day offers a new opportunity to shape the future. To support our Technical Team, we are looking for a talented and passionate intern with knowledge in materials.
Tasks
- Co-development of porous minerals, production of prototypes, quality control.
- Transfer of R&D formulations to the prototyping plant.
- Material characterization and support on material certification.
- Planning and improvement of prototype production processes.
- Support on operating and maintaining the prototyping line.
- Support of the technical team on other issues as required.
Requirements
- Ideally ETH/FH materials science , mechanical or civil engineering with knowledge/ passion for ceramic and cementitious materials
- Impact driven person with a passion for innovation
- Hands-on attitude and technical understanding
- Systematic problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented and reliable
- English and ideally German proficiency
- Knowledge in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Python, CAD is a plus
- Swiss work permit
