FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.

Tasks

• You are responsible for designing new and improving existing industrial production processes for mineral foam products, comprising drying, mixing and casting.
• You participate in the technological transfer from R&D to the testing pilot line.
• You actively participate in long-term product/technology planning.
• You track, monitor and report progress and deliverables on running projects.

Requirements

• You have completed an MSc in Mechanical / Process Engineering or similar.
• You have gained at least 3 years of professional experience in the development and testing of key steps of production plants (porous materials, food, building materials)
• You are experienced in developing concepts/preliminary designs as well as preparing techno-economic analyses and technical drawings.
• You work hands-on with the technical team on the prototyping line.
• You are team orientated, communicate effectively, work cooperatively, and make a positive contribution to the team environment.
• You are flexible and can adapt quickly to changing requirements to operate successfully in a dynamic working environment.
• We value initiative, you are proactive and can take on tasks independently.
