Lead Software Engineer (m/f/d)

FEV etamax GmbH is a growing technology company focused on safety‑critical software and systems. We develop solutions from analysis to zero fault tolerance for leading aerospace, transportation and automotive customers.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or related domain.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Broad technology stack with proficiency in object‑oriented programming, scripting languages and embedded software development.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows development environments.
• Strong awareness of quality assurance and high software standards.
• Solid understanding of test automation; GUI test automation experience is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Git and Jenkins.
• Agile mindset and creativity to design suitable software solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English; strong German skills would be a plus.

Tasks

• Assess and understand the scope and use case of complex software applications.
• Analyze software requirements and interface documentation and design appropriate architecture.
• Implement and integrate software for distributed systems.
• Automate the whole software engineering process following the DevOps approach with a special focus on test automation.
• Ensure software quality by code reviews and multi‑level software tests.
• Coordinate technical aspects within the team and work closely with customers, following agile or safety‑critical standards.
