You are involved in the further development of the 3D simulation approach (CFD) for simulating the particle flow during the thermal runaway of lithium-ion batteries and contribute to the safety of battery systems

You develop a discrete element approach (DEM) for large particles
-
You first test your approach in a surrogate model before integrating it into the existing model
-
You define the required input for your model and suggest validation methods
-
You document your progress and present it regularly in order to successively optimise your model
-
You are studying mechanical engineering, computational engineering science, energy technology, automotive engineering or similar
-
You are interested in computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
-
You have practical CFD experience and have ideally already worked with Star-CCM+
-
You are motivated to familiarise yourself with a complex topic

You work independently, diligently and in a structured manner
