Role Description
The PAM Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Berlin, Germany, supporting the design, deployment, and day‑day operation of Fidarnet Smart Network’s hardware-based PAM solutions.
Responsibilities include assisting with configuration and monitoring of privileged access workflows, supporting incident analysis and access audits, and collaborating with engineers to implement secure, scalable Kubernetes and container-based infrastructures.
The role involves documenting PAM processes and policies, contributing to continuous improvement of Zero Trust security practices, and providing internal support to teams using PAM tools.
The PAM Assistant will work closely with security, operations, and development teams to ensure reliable, compliant, and user-friendly privileged access management.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in IT infrastructure and networking (e. g., Linux systems, TCP/IP basics, VPNs, firewalls) to support secure environment management.
- Knowledge of security concepts and practices (e. g., Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust principles, least privilege, audit and compliance awareness).
- Experience or strong interest in container technologies and orchestration platforms (e. g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD concepts) beneficial for working with scalable PAM solutions.
- Ability to work with documentation and process management (e. g., writing clear technical procedures, maintaining access records, assisting with policy creation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail in handling privileged accounts and security-related tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant education or training in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new security tools, hardware solutions, and emerging best practices in PAM.
- Proficiency in English; additional German language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
