Experienced Technical Field Advisor - Gas Turbine

FieldCore is looking for an exceptional Mechanical Field Engineer and Technical Field Advisor to join our Field Operations team based in Germany.

As a Technical Field Advisor for Gas Turbines , you will contribute to the management of site activities including planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources such as labour, tools, and technical assistance. You will make decisions, apply concepts to complex issues, and resolve problems through immediate action or short-term planning at customer power generating facilities.

How You Will Make a Difference:

• Maintain a strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
• Manage, coordinate, and/or monitor Gas site activities.
• Lead and manage on-site systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation.
• Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment.
• Provide technical instruction and work to company standards regarding operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Responsible for writing technical reports, preparing job status reports, and time sheet and expense sheets on a complete, timely, and thorough basis.
• Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records.
• Perform walk-downs to verify that contractors and craft personnel are working to company standards.
• Direct and manage aftermarket upgrades that need to be performed at the site level.

Special Role Requirements:

• Able to travel extensively overseas to and from projects and various field assignments.
• Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

Skills for Success:

• Extensive Field Engineering Services experience with a solid understanding of Gas Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters.
• Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.
• Knowledge and skill to actively support field service activities and know where to seek answers to questions as they arise.
• Experience working on successful installations and trained on Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
