Responsibilities
- Independent research as part of a PhD project in network or spatial econometrics
- Develop and empirically evaluate econometric methods for modeling interdependencies
- Contribute to academic publications and presentations at international conferences
- Actively involve in teaching and supervision: bachelor’s and master’s theses, tutorials and courses in German and English
Qualifications
- Excellent master’s degree (or comparable) in economics, econometrics, statistics, mathematics or a related field
- Strong background in econometrics and interest in methodologically oriented research
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python, Matlab)
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Very good command of German (minimum C1 level)
- Independent and analytically driven working style
- Prior teaching experience is an asset

Employment Conditions
The successful candidate will be employed under a regular employment contract. The position starts at the earliest possible date, with a fixed term of two years and an option to extend for three further years. It is a part‑time position (50% of full‑time hours). The salary follows the German public service salary scale (TV‑L) at grade EG 13 TV‑L. The role enables pursuit of a doctoral degree.
