As a Product Manager in the Open Banking and Payments area, you take ownership of your product domain, connect customer needs with technical solutions and work closely with our development team and other departments. Your tasks as Product Manager
- You take end-to-end product responsibility for our fintech products in the Open Banking and Payments domain and drive their development from initial concept through to go-live based on clear goals.
- You identify and understand key customer needs and market opportunities, derive clear, measurable outcomes and prioritize them based on value, risk and effort.
- Based on this, you define transparent, data-driven requirements (epics/features) that create real customer value while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as a central interface, you manage the roadmap together with management, development, operations, sales, marketing and customer success and continuously adapt it.
- You work closely with the development team, write user stories, define acceptance criteria and ensure smooth releases, including documentation and enablement.
- You establish feedback loops, track success using concrete business KPIs and use these insights to continuously improve product-market fit.
Your profile
- Experience: You have at least 3–5 years of experience in digital product management or a related role, such as project management, software development, e-commerce or technical product development, ideally in the fintech or payments domain.
- Qualification: You have successfully completed a degree in business informatics, business administration, economics, finance or a comparable field, or an equivalent qualification.
- Domain knowledge: You have strong analytical skills, understand the complexity of the fintech ecosystem and can confidently connect business goals with technical realities.
- Track record: Proven achievements in a regulated environment (fintech, banking or insurtech) are an additional plus.
- Working style: You work in a structured way, make prioritization decisions transparently and take responsibility in complex situations.
- Communication skills: You communicate clearly and confidently in German and English, can formulate requirements precisely and facilitate discussions with stakeholders, including in virtual teams.
- Methodological skills: You are familiar with agile methods (Scrum or Kanban) and use tools such as Jira, Confluence and Miro confidently for workflow design and documentation.
- Team skills: You enjoy working cross-functionally, can bring together different perspectives and guide stakeholders through decision-making processes.
