A private equity-backed Contract Development & Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) is seeking an Interim Chief Operating Officer to lead operations and supply chain across a multi-site manufacturing network in Europe and the United States.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim COO will be responsible for stabilising performance, improving customer delivery, strengthening planning and supply chain capabilities, and implementing a scalable operating model across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing operations and supply chain across multiple sites.
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, delivery, inventory and profitability.
- Establish clear governance, performance management and operational accountability across the business.
- Own S&OP, capacity planning and network optimisation activities.
- Lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support integration, organisational development and future growth plans.
- Partner closely with site leadership teams to drive execution and performance.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a COO, VP Operations, Operations Director or equivalent senior operations leader.
- Significant multi-site manufacturing leadership experience.
- Background within a CDMO, MedTech, medical device, life sciences or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong track record delivering operational turnaround, transformation or performance improvement programmes.
- Deep expertise across manufacturing, supply chain, planning and operational excellence.
- Experience implementing Lean manufacturing, KPI frameworks and standardised operating processes.
- Private equity experience highly desirable.
- Available to operate in a hands-on, high-impact interim capacity.
