The Role To start ASAP, this is a key position for an experienced person within a small but busy finance function in a banking environment. The position combines day‑to‑day accounting responsibilities with all aspects of financial control and regulatory reporting (SNB statistics, etc). This job suits someone coming from an accounting or financial controller role within a bank. You will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with Swiss regulatory requirements while working closely with the Head of Finance & Risk. Key Responsibilities
Maintain and oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly closings
Prepare statutory financial statements under Swiss banking standards
Produce and submit regulatory reports to FINMA and the Swiss National Bank (SNB)
Perform SNB reporting using the FIRE system (mandatory)
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
Support external and internal audits, including preparation of documentation
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
Assist with capital/liquidity reporting and basic treasury monitoring
Contribute to process improvements and implementation of audit recommendations
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers where required
Participate in wider operational matters as required, reflecting the hands‑on nature of a small banking structure
