Client: A rare opportunity to join a highly respected international private banking group with a long-established reputation in wealth management and private banking. The Geneva office operates as a fully regulated Swiss subsidiary and is entering an exciting phase of growth, supported by a strong shareholder base and an entrepreneurial culture. While benefiting from the backing and stability of a globally recognised brand, the local team offers a collaborative, hands-on environment where senior professionals can have genuine influence and visibility. Position: Reporting directly to senior management, the Head of Finance will lead a small team comprising Finance, Accounting and Operations professionals and play a pivotal role in the financial, operational and risk management of the Swiss entity. This is a broad and highly visible position that extends well beyond traditional finance responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee accounting, regulatory reporting, treasury, operational risk, controls, governance, and selected HR matters, while acting as a trusted business partner to the leadership team and Board. The role would suit an experienced banking finance professional who enjoys combining strategic oversight with hands-on execution and is comfortable operating in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment where flexibility and ownership are highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a small team across Finance, Accounting and Operations. Ensure robust financial and accounting controls appropriate to the scale and complexity of the business. Oversee monthly financial reporting, statutory accounts and regulatory reporting obligations. Monitor treasury activities, banking relationships and exposure limits. Maintain and enhance operational processes, controls and governance frameworks. Manage operational risk and support the effective oversight of credit, investment and business risks. Ensure compliance with Swiss banking regulations and internal policies. Coordinate audit activities and drive the implementation of audit recommendations. Prepare management reporting and Board documentation in collaboration with senior leadership. Oversee HR administration, payroll and related social insurance matters. Lead and coordinate strategic and regulatory projects as required. Act as a key stakeholder in maintaining the overall soundness and efficiency of the Swiss entity. Why Join? This is an excellent opportunity to take on a genuinely broad leadership role within a growing Swiss private bank. The position offers significant exposure to senior decision-makers, direct interaction with the Board and regulators, and the chance to influence both strategic direction and day-to-day operations. For an experienced finance leader who enjoys working close to the business and making a tangible impact, the role provides a unique combination of responsibility, visibility and autonomy. Candidate Profile: 10+ years of experience within finance, accounting, controlling, risk management or regulatory reporting from within the banking sector (from Switzerland or France etc). Previous experience as a CFO, Head of Finance, Finance Director or Senior Banking Finance Manager professional. Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity and remaining close to daily financial and operational activities. Experience managing small teams across finance, accounting and/or operations. Exposure to operational risk, credit risk and broader banking risk frameworks. Good understanding of compliance-related risks, including transaction monitoring, investment activity and fraud prevention. Experience with treasury activities and liquidity oversight is beneficial. Exposure to payroll, social insurance and HR administration would be advantageous. Strong leadership skills combined with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset. FINMA exposure a plus but not a must, as long as experienced in Swiss or European banking regulations. Native or fluent French, with professional fluency in English. Excellent systems and IT skills. Ability and willingness to work full-time from the Geneva office and committed to relocation to the region of not already based locally (cross-border workers considered). This opportunity is particularly suited to a senior finance professional looking to join a growing institution where breadth of responsibility, visibility and direct impact are key attractions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
