System Integration Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading high-tech company in the field of uncrewed aviation, we are looking for a
System Integration Engineer Electronics (80–100%)

Buchs, SG, Switzerland

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge drone technology in an international and dynamic environment.

Role and responsibilities

• Improvement and development of the drone avionics, including electrical wiring, sensors, avionics box, battery and power management
• Creating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, configurations, settings
• Testing of components and sub-systems, with focus on electrical components and systems
• Supporting testing of the complete drone system
• Root cause problem solving
• Technical documentation
• Electrical assembly of components and systems for testing
• Managing avionics component and avionics system suppliers
• Taking over system design responsibility
• Improving processes and procedures

Your profile

• Solid technical education (e.g. apprenticeship as aircraft electronic technician or equivalent)
• Higher education in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, or systems engineering is a plus
• 3+ years of relevant working experience in avionics/electronics
• Experience with CAD programs for electronics
• Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly and testing
• Background in industries with high quality and safety requirements (aviation, automotive, pharma, medical devices, etc.)
• EASA Part 66 B2 License is a plus
• Experience in software integration, configuration or programming is an advantage
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, hands-on mentality, and team spirit
