Software Architect - Java, Cloud, Kubernetes, Microservices, AI-Enabled Systems - Remote - €100,000

Join a company helping to modernise critical national infrastructure through large-scale cloud and software transformation projects. One example is the German Justice Cloud , a major initiative supporting the digitalisation of more than 20,000 courts across Germany.
As a Software Architect, you’ll work closely with customers and development teams to design scalable, secure and future-proof solutions , modernise legacy systems, and help organisations adopt cloud-native technologies. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies, including AI-enabled applications where they deliver genuine business value.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing modern software and cloud architectures for complex public sector environments
- Defining architecture standards, implementation roadmaps and operating models
- Designing solutions with a focus on scalability, security, reliability and maintainability
- Supporting development teams throughout implementation and technical decision-making
- Evaluating emerging technologies including AI-powered solutions , cloud services and modern platform technologies

Your profile:
- Strong background in software development using Java and modern backend technologies
- Experience designing software architectures for complex distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of applications, infrastructure, integration patterns and architectural best practices
- Passion for emerging technologies, digital transformation and continuous learning
- Excellent German (C2 level) and strong English communication skills
