Munich · Flexible/Hybrid · Full Ownership
We're building the world's smartest AI agents for collections, and we're just getting started.
Finnyx is a Munich-based AI startup building voice and messaging agents that talk to real customers, resolve real cases, and quietly automate one of the oldest, most human-heavy processes in financial services. Our agents run on top of the same infrastructure that powers the frontier of AI today: Anthropic Claude, Cloudflare, and Google Cloud. And, we're backed by Antler, the world’s largest and most active early-stage investor.
We're two founders shipping at ridiculous speed. We're looking for our first Founders Associate (m/f/d) to join us on the ground floor and help turn finnyx into the category-defining agent platform for financial services.
Why this is different
Every week you'll ship something that customers touch. Every month you'll own something bigger than the month before. You'll sit next to the CEO and CTO, learn how a real AI company gets built, and have a genuine shot at growing into a leadership role as we scale.
If you want to work on agents, LLMs, voice, and real-time infrastructure, and you want to see your work in production the same day you finish it, this is the role.
What you'll do
Build the product (60%)
- Ship features across our full stack — TypeScript/React frontend, edge functions, Postgres, and integrations with Anthropic, Twilio, and Google Cloud.
- Design and iterate on AI agent workflows — how our agents reason, decide when to upscale, and handle multi-turn conversations with real humans.
- Experiment with LLM prompt design, evaluation, and agent behavior tuning — this is where our edge lives.
Make customers successful (25%)
- Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers. Understand their pain, unblock them, and turn their feedback directly into shipped features.
- Own onboarding: help new customers go from signup to their first successful campaign.
- Handle inbound support, triage bugs, and build a culture of relentless customer obsession from day one.
Everything else that matters (15%)
- Analytics, monitoring, and quality dashboards.
- Internal tooling to help the team move faster.
- The occasional GTM sprint when we're chasing a big deal.
What we're looking for
- You write code. Doesn't matter what you studied, but you can build things.
- You're obsessed with AI, LLMs, and agents. You've played with the Anthropic or OpenAI APIs, built a side project with them, or read enough papers to hold your own in a conversation.
- You can figure things out, break problems down, ship something small, learn, and repeat.
- You're based in or willing to relocate to Munich, and you have the right to work in Germany. We work flexibly, but we want you in the room with us when it matters. At our company stage we can’t sponsor visas yet.
- You communicate clearly in English (preferably also in German).
- You have some experience already in a startup, VC, consultancy or product team. You know how to structure your own work and don’t need to be micromanaged.
Skills we care about
- TypeScript / React / modern frontend.
- Databases — Postgres (or willingness to learn it fast), SQL, query design, schema thinking.
- Cloud — Google Cloud, AWS, or equivalent. Understanding of serverless, edge functions, managed services.
- Git / GitHub / CI/CD — you know how to open a PR, review code, and ship through a pipeline.
- APIs and integrations — you're comfortable stitching services together, reading docs, and debugging HTTP.
- Machine Learning / LLM fundamentals — you know the difference between prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows. Bonus if you've built with them.
- Customer Management — you manage customers, identify what they actually need and not what they ask, while guiding them through platform usage and supporting them to achieve success.
Nice-to-have (any of these will make us excited)
- Experience with voice/telephony (Twilio, Deepgram, LiveKit).
- Real-time systems, WebSockets, or streaming.
- Data engineering, evals, or observability for LLM apps.
- Design sense — you can make a screen feel good on the eye.
- You've built or shipped something you're proud of. Show us.
What you get
- Real equity via VSOP (Virtual Stock Option Plan) — you're a founding team member, we treat you like one.
- Keeping active —Wellpass membership and invite to our Padel meet-ups (if that’s your thing).
- Flexible / hybrid work — Munich-based, in-office when it matters, remote when it doesn't.
- Competitive salary for a start-up, reviewed as you take on more.
- Frontier tooling and infrastructure — Claude Code and API, Google Cloud tooling, Cloudflare, GitHub Copilot — everything you need to build fast with data security.
- Direct mentorship from the CEO and CTO. No middle layer, no politics, no slow feedback loops.
- A real path to grow. Founders Associate (m/f/d) today, product/engineering lead as we scale. We hire people we want to give more responsibility to, fast.
- A learning environment — you'll ship more, learn more, and see more of a company's inner workings in six months than most engineers see in three years.
- Munich office culture — including the optional get-togethers
Why now
- We're backed by Antler and building alongside customers who need us today.
- We’re supported by Anthropic, Cloudflare, and Google Cloud — the foundational stack of modern AI.
- The category we're going after is enormous, underserved, and being reshaped by AI right now. We have a real window and a real head start.
- Being #1 on a founding team is one of the highest-leverage roles out there. Options are early. Ownership is real. Learning is exponential.
If you've read this far, you already know if this is you.
Process
- First Founder interview — an honest 30 minute conversation about your work and ours.
- Technical challenge — a practical technical challenge we faced in the past.
- Customer Case — a hypothetical customer case where you will address a customer demand
- Visit in-person — get to know each other in person and clarify any open questions
