Global FinTech Specialist

About the Role

The Global FinTech Specialist is a vital member of the Tech Controlling team, focused on ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and cost allocation across the global Tech portfolio. This role is designed to support effective financial control through meticulous data maintenance, recharge activities, and the preparation of monthly financial reports for country business partnerships. Collaboration is key, as the Specialist will work closely with the Global FinTech Controller and various stakeholders to ensure operational accuracy and efficiency. In this position, the Global FinTech Specialist will take ownership of numerous finance-related functions, including the timely preparation of financial documentation, recharge computation, and inter-departmental engagement. The role emphasizes the importance of detail and organization while also encouraging proactive identification of operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Global FinTech Controller by executing daily finance activities, focusing on data accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial packs and documentation for month-end, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Develop recharge and allocation schedules for global products, ensuring comprehensive documentation and reconciliation.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses, compiling necessary data and schedules for review by senior finance leaders.
  • Collaborate with country finance teams and Tech stakeholders to gather routine inputs, addressing any data gaps.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for recurring operational challenges to the FinTech Controller.
  • Escalate variances, control issues, and inquiries to the FinTech Controller as necessary.
  • Work on individual development priorities in collaboration with the FinTech Business Partner.

Required Skills

  • Experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or controlling, preferably in a shared service or technology environment.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, forecasting, accruals, recharges, and variance analysis.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, comfortable handling large datasets and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Oracle Cloud, OneStream, or Power BI.
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capability to convey financial concepts clearly.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • A collaborative approach with enthusiasm for process improvement and data utilization.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting recharge, cross-charge, cost allocation, or intercompany financial processes.
