Business Analyst in FinOps
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst specializing in FinOps to join our dynamic team within an internationally recognized technology and services group. The role focuses on supporting organizations in their digital transformation and optimization of business processes. You will work at the intersection of digital innovation, operational efficiency, IT, and business, contributing to solutions that enhance traditional business functions. In this position, you will collaborate with various departments to analyze costs, margins, productivity, and other key operational metrics. Your insights will drive strategic management decisions, making data-driven approaches essential to improving efficiency and productivity within our clients' operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational metrics including costs, margins, and capacity to provide transparent insights for management.
- Enhance existing reporting solutions into modern management reports, Power BI dashboards, and KPI cockpits.
- Connect and structure data sources, develop models and queries using Power Query and SQL for effective reporting processes.
- Create scenarios and models for budget, forecasting, strategy, and capacity planning to support informed management decisions.
- Conduct sensitivity and cost-efficiency analyses to identify optimization and savings opportunities and translate findings into actionable measures.
- Assist departments in root cause analysis and action planning for deviations in SLA, quality, and process metrics.
Required Skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, Business Informatics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in an analytical controlling or business analytics role.
- Proven capability to handle large datasets and develop impactful management reports.
- Strong enthusiasm for digitalization and automation, critically assessing existing processes for efficiency improvements.
- Excellent proficiency in German and English.
- Clear background checks, including criminal and debt registry.
