Work model: On-Site
Job Details Millions of people interact with fiskaly every day, even if they don't realize it. As a B2B company, we power the retail technology behind digital receipts and secure, legally compliant transactions. In Italy, we help retailers go fully digital and eliminate the need for hardware like fiscal printers to issue and manage receipts.
By making receipts tamper-proof through digital signatures, we help fight tax fraud. And with our paperless receipt solution, we offer consumers a modern alternative while helping merchants streamline their operations.
Sure, our solutions sound complex but our mission is simple: make receipts easy for everyone.
The Role This is a hands-on summer internship at the heart of fiskaly's Vienna HQ. Working alongside our Talent & Organization team, you'll get real insight into what it takes to run a modern tech workplace — from daily operations to events to smart, AI-powered admin. You won't be fetching coffee (well, maybe restocking it); you'll be given real responsibility, real projects, and real feedback.
What You'll Do
Office Operations (Powered by Tech)
HQ Support: Help keep daily operations at Mariahilfer Straße running smoothly - from door access and deliveries to supplies and workspace setup.
Smart Vendor Support: Assist with supplier communication and learn to use AI tools to summarize contracts, draft professional German correspondence, and compare vendor quotes.
Onboarding Experience: Prepare desks and welcome kits for new "fiskalyers," ensuring a warm, organized start.
First touchpoint: You are the first point of contact and not afraid of picking up the phone, answering simpler questions or redirecting people to the right colleagues.
Event Support & Culture
External Touchpoints: Support the coordination of hackathons, meetups, and industry guest visits, ensuring the fiskaly brand shines.
Travel & Logistics: Assist international team members with travel bookings, using modern tools to streamline itineraries.
Administrative Projects
Budget Tracking: Support the office budget for supplies and events.
Inbox Support: Help handle incoming post and general inquiries, utilizing LLMs to draft rapid, polite, and accurate responses in both German and English.
Your Own Project: Take ownership of one improvement project over the summer - e.g., streamlining a process, documenting office workflows, or building a better onboarding checklist - and present it to the team at the end of your internship.
What You Bring
Background: Currently studying (or recently graduated) in business administration, hospitality, event management, communications, or a related field. First experience through side jobs, student organizations, or volunteering is a plus - not a requirement.
AI & Tech Curiosity: You're an early adopter at heart. You're comfortable (or eager to get comfortable) prompting AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to speed up writing, translation, and ideation. Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
Language Skills: You speak solid German (needed for Austrian vendors and day-to-day office life) and are fluent in English (our company working language).
The "Host" Mentality: You genuinely enjoy helping people and spot needs - no ice creame left in the bridge - before anyone else does.
Organizational Instinct: You love lists, schedules, and clear processes. Juggling several small tasks energizes you rather than scares you.
Availability: You can join us on-site in Vienna full-time (or near full-time) over August and September.
What We Offer
Real ownership from day one - you'll run your own improvement project over the summer and present it to the team at the end. Not busywork; something you can point to afterwards.
Skills you'll actually use later: working with AI tools, vendor and supplier communication, event coordination, budget tracking, and professional business writing in both German and English.
Close mentorship from our Talent & Organization team, with regular, honest feedback - and the space to try things and learn when they don't land.
A front-row seat at our Vienna HQ on Mariahilfer Straße, as first point of contact you'll meet everyone and see how a modern tech company actually runs day to day.
A culture that values clarity, well-being, and good work over noise.
Why fiskaly? We work on real problems that have impact, not vanity projects. Our team is pragmatic, direct, and focused on building solid tech for an industry that needs it. We care about how things work, not how they look on paper.
If that resonates, you'll probably enjoy working here.
