Overview
In this role you own the commissioning phase for LV switchgear and modular power systems on data centre projects. You will develop plans, coordinate with design and build teams, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery. You’ll perform testing and verification, support pre-commissioning through handover, and mentor junior staff. This is a chance to work on technically advanced projects within a global organization. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead commissioning across LV switchgear and modular power systems on multiple data centre projects
- Create and execute commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures
- Coordinate with design, installation, and project management teams for seamless delivery
- Perform system testing, inspection, and validation of LV and modular equipment
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, company standards, and client specs
- Provide technical support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover
- Identify and resolve commissioning issues or deviations promptly
- Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, reports, and sign-off records
- Supervise and mentor junior commissioning engineers and technicians
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Proven experience commissioning LV switchgear, control panels, or modular power systems (preferably in data centre or critical power environments)
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and testing procedures
- Knowledge of commissioning standards, safety procedures, and documentation requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and single-line diagrams
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing abilities
- Willingness to travel for project assignments
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commissioning, electrical engineering, or site management
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Electrical Engineering or similar) preferred
- Solid understanding of QHSE regulations, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Eligible to work & travel in the EU
- Full clean and valid German driving license and willingness to travel to site locations
