In your role as Junior Category Manager (m/f/d) , you will help Flink continue to revolutionize how people shop by ensuring we have the most attractive product offering.
- Growing your categories within dry (exact groups to be defined together) in sales and margin by deciding what assortment to sell, against what selling prices, with what discounts, how to present it in app, and how to activate both in and out of app.
- Independent deal negotiations with our (A-brand) suppliers and the development of a supplier network with a strong focus on retail media and trade marketing.
- Data-driven decision-making and staying up-to-date with the last E-commerce developments.
- Close cooperation with the other departments, like Retail media, Marketing, Supply chain, and Hub operations to ensure growth and profitability.
- Building the company further by identifying potential areas for optimization within category management.
- Being part of an energetic and experienced team. The commercial team has a great mix of people with all different backgrounds from the bigger retailers and A-brand suppliers and tech firms.
Minimum Requirements:
- You have 1+ years of relevant work experience as a buyer, category manager, or key account manager within the food or non-food industry, preferably within dry assortment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a similar field.
- Demonstrable experience in making pragmatic decisions to achieve business incomes.
- Working proficiency (C1) in both English and German.
