Position: Senior Legal Counsel (m / f / d)
You will support the Business Unit Germany and all respective Fluence functions in managing and mastering their legal challenges, particularly on large-scale projects. We are looking for someone who actively lives our core values and seeks to be part of the team, adding value through close interactions with our peers. In other words, you will be a lawyer in a broad and customer-facing role, and all of us are responsible for great customer service.
Job Location: Berlin or Erlangen
Your Responsibilities:
- Supporting the deal teams on complex tenders and projects during the sales phase.
- Drafting and negotiating a large variety of contracts, particularly supply, EPC, service, procurement, and other commercial agreements.
- Supporting the delivery teams and claim managers on potential claims and disputes during the project execution phase.
- Working on international corporate initiatives as well as on a wide variety of other matters that come across the table of an in-house lawyer.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Fully qualified lawyer (first and second state exam, at least “befriedigend”).
- Generalist background with at least 7 years of experience in drafting and negotiating complex project agreements.
- Experience in industrial equipment, construction, or utility projects – experience in the renewable energy or energy storage sector is very welcomed.
- Excellent judgment, both in business and interpersonal matters.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a highly self-motivated work style.
- Ability and willingness to act as lead negotiator, take responsibility, and make decisions.
- Impeccable ethics and commitment to compliance and safety.
- Business fluency in German and English.
