People & Culture and Finance Lead – DACH

About the role

You are the People & Culture lead for Fluido across the DACH region and the primary local HR and finance partner for Fluido Germany. This is a highly autonomous role that combines strategic HR leadership, employment law, payroll oversight, compliance, employee relations, and financial administration.

One day, you may be advising the CEO on a sensitive people matter, negotiating a settlement agreement with external counsel, or managing a performance case. Next, you may be reviewing payroll calculations, supporting month-end reporting, coordinating with accountants and payroll providers, preparing employment documentation, or ensuring compliance with German labour law.

You act as a trusted advisor to leadership while also serving as an advocate for employees. You are the main point of contact for all people-related matters across the employee lifecycle and frequently operate at the intersection of HR, finance, legal, and business operations.

What you’ll actually do

Employee Relations, Employment Law & HR Compliance

  • Lead employee relations, employment law and compliance matters across the employee lifecycle, including organisational change, performance management and complex case handling.
  • Advise leaders on German labour law and people-related risks, balancing legal compliance with business needs.
  • Partner with external counsel and in-house legal teams on employment, compliance and litigation matters.
  • Draft and review employment-related documentation, including contracts, amendments, compensation arrangements and separation agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal policies and HR governance across DACH, while supporting wider European people initiatives.

HR Operations, Payroll & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle across the DACH region, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a seamless employee experience from onboarding through to offboarding.
  • Act as the primary governance lead for payroll, overseeing monthly payroll processes, salary changes, bonuses, benefits, final settlements, and complex employee compensation matters in partnership with external payroll providers.
  • Drive HR operations and data integrity across Workday , DATEV , and Salesforce , ensuring accurate employee records, contractual documentation, organizational changes, and workflow management.
  • Lead onboarding, offboarding, background screening, leave management, and employee administration processes for employees and subcontractors.
  • Serve as the key point of contact between employees, managers, payroll providers, finance, and external stakeholders on HR operational matters.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor law requirements, internal governance standards, and audit expectations through robust process ownership and controls.
  • Act as the final quality and compliance checkpoint for payroll and employment-related transactions, proactively identifying risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Finance & Cost Control

  • Act as the primary local finance contact for the German entity.
  • Coordinate with accountants and Group Finance on month-end activities, audits, statutory filings and ad-hoc financial matters.
  • Approve and follow up on employee expenses, ensuring accurate allocations and reimbursements.
  • Review financial impacts of headcount changes, severance arrangements, salary increases and restructuring activities.
  • Support budgeting exercises, cost transfers and intercompany charging discussions.
  • Escalate tax, compliance and reporting matters to relevant finance stakeholders.
  • Lead compensation-related initiatives, including salary reviews, promotions and bonus arrangements.
  • Own local benefit programmes, including occupational pensions (bAV) and statutory employee benefits.
  • Drive readiness for EU Pay Transparency requirements, including pay range development, job architecture and pay-gap analysis.
  • Support managers in making equitable and compliant compensation decisions.

Performance, Talent & Culture

  • Own and continuously improve the performance management framework and performance culture initiatives.
  • Support managers with performance conversations, development planning, retention cases and career progression decisions.
  • Manage career frameworks and contribute to organizational capability development.
  • Deliver manager guidance and employee communications on people-related topics.

Leadership Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on confidential employee matters, organisational change and business decisions.
  • Provide pragmatic, risk-based recommendations while maintaining strong employee relations.
  • Challenge decisions constructively when required and ensure people’s considerations are represented during strategic discussions.
  • Lead sensitive communications and change management activities.

HR Technology, Process Transformation & AI

  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and employee experience through practical solutions, automation and AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Leverage HR data and reporting to support decision-making, compliance and workforce planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk and simplify processes across the employee lifecycle

What you’ll need

  • Extensive practical experience in HR, employee relations and German employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll administration, compensation, benefits and HR operations.
  • Experience working with finance processes, budgeting, payroll costing and external accountants.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and sound judgement.
  • Business-fluent German and English.
  • Confidence working independently in a matrix organisation and navigating complex approval structures.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Commercial mindset combined with a people-first approach.
  • Curiosity, adaptability and a strong interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve ways of working.
  • Experience supporting HR operations and employment matters across multiple European countries would be an advantage.
  • Based in the Munich area or able to travel to the Munich office at least twice per week.

What to know before applying

  • This role combines HR leadership, employment law, payroll, finance and operational ownership in one position.
  • You are the primary point of contact for most people and employment matters within the DACH region.
  • The role requires balancing business needs, legal compliance and employee experience, often simultaneously.
  • While Fluido operates with an entrepreneurial mindset, many processes require coordination within the broader Infosys ecosystem.
  • In return, you gain significant autonomy, direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to shape how people operations are run across the region.
