We are hiring for a well-established European infrastructure and energy transition investor. They are growing their investment team in Munich and are looking for an Associate to work across new investments and existing portfolio companies in the DACH region.

About the PE fund:

  • An independent investment and asset-management platform that has been active in energy and sustainable infrastructure for close to two decades
  • More than €10bn of capital deployed and committed across several flagship funds, with recent fundraising showing strong investor demand
  • Combines investing with in‑house development and operations, so the team owns assets from early‑stage projects through to operating platforms
  • Invests across renewable power, bioenergy, storage and other energy transition infrastructure in several European markets and beyond
  • Germany is a core market, backed by a fresh fund cycle, a growing local platform with multiple gigawatts in operation and development, and an expanding Munich team
  • An entrepreneurial culture with a flat structure, short decision paths and early responsibility

The Role

  • Work on the full investment cycle: origination, screening, valuation, due diligence, structuring, financing and execution
  • Build and own detailed financial models, including project‑finance, platform and portfolio models, scenario analysis and returns analysis
  • Prepare investment committee materials and present recommendations to senior partners
  • Manage external advisers, including legal, technical, tax and financial due diligence providers
  • Help arrange debt financing and work with lenders on new and existing assets
  • Support portfolio companies with value creation, business planning, refinancing and add‑on acquisitions
  • Monitor German and European market, regulatory and tender developments to identify new opportunities

Your Profile

  • 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure or energy private equity, M&A, project finance, transaction services or investment banking
  • Strong financial modelling skills, ideally with exposure to renewable energy or other infrastructure assets
  • Experience on live transactions, with a good grasp of deal processes and documentation
  • A strong university degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related field
  • Fluent German and English
  • Commercially minded, structured and hands‑on, and comfortable in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment

What's on Offer

  • Direct exposure to senior decision‑makers and real responsibility on transactions from day one
  • A rare chance to join a growing local team during a period of fresh capital deployment
  • Broad deal exposure across investing, development, financing and operations
  • A clear long‑term career path within a growing international platform
