Our client is a well-established private equity firm based in Zurich, focusing on majority investments in profitable service-based companies across DACH, Iberia, Benelux, and UK. With a strong track record of growth and value creation, the firm specializes in sectors such as business services, IT services, healthcare, education & lifestyle, and financial services. Managing a substantial AUM exceeding €3 billion, the firm has successfully executed numerous investments and continues to expand its portfolio across Europe.
To strengthen its team in Zurich, the firm is seeking a German-speaking Private Equity Associate to support its investment activities and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis: Conduct in-depth market and financial analysis to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Due Diligence: Lead and support due diligence processes, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and commercial evaluation.
- Transaction Execution: Assist in structuring, negotiating, and executing transactions, including preparing investment memoranda and presentations for the investment committee.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor existing portfolio companies, analyze financial performance, and support strategic decision-making to drive value creation.
- Market Research: Conduct sector and competitive analysis to identify new investment opportunities and trends.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with management teams, industry experts, advisors, and investors to support deal origination and execution.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA qualification is an advantage.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in private equity.
- Language Skills: Fluent German and English (both written and spoken) are essential.
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Soft Skills: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
