Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join a dynamic private equity firm focused on small-cap investments in Germany. Based in Munich, the Private Equity Associate will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities, as well as driving value creation within portfolio companies. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking (IB) or Private Equity (PE), fluency in German, and a strong understanding of the small-cap market. This role offers hands-on deal exposure, significant responsibility, and the chance to work closely with management teams and investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and execute investment opportunities in the small-cap segment across Germany.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, comparables), and due diligence.
- Support deal structuring, negotiation, and execution processes.
- Work closely with portfolio companies to drive operational improvements and value creation.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal committees and external stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and identify new investment opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A, Leveraged Finance) or Private Equity, ideally in the small-cap space.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in deal execution, due diligence, and portfolio management.
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and in small teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
