The Emma Couvreu Childhood Foundation since 1829 is actively committed to the reception, protection and support of minors at risk in their development. Our services are aimed at children and also their parents. We implement our actions in accordance with values that we embody daily. Our activities are fully aligned with the child protection policy established by the State of Vaud. Strong in its commitment, the Foundation manages 5 boarding schools and 6 outpatient units, mobilising more than 250 collaborators.
Within its outpatient sector, the Foundation offers a service for the mediation and support of meetings between a minor and one of their parents. Delivered by a team of trained workers, the service is provided in various locations in the eastern Vaud region. The measures relating to visitation rights are prescribed and orchestrated by the child protection authorities.
To strengthen the supervised visits team, the Outpatient Sector is looking for a:
hourly supervised visit worker
The position requires availability mainly in the late afternoon and on Wednesdays, as well as Saturdays, depending on assignments.
Job description
- Facilitate the reconciliation of parent-child relationships in a separation context. - Ensure the preservation of personal relationships in contexts requiring high vigilance. - Support interactions between the parent and child, thus facilitating the conduct of visits and relational adjustments. - Contribute to the assessment of parental skills and support their ongoing development. - Offer parents an understanding of their child that effectively reflects their needs and behaviour and contributes to strengthening parental skills. - Write administrative documents related to the support and actively participate in associated review meetings.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in social education or psychology, or an equivalent qualification. - Significant experience and ongoing training in the field of child protection and parenting. - Excellent knowledge of social education and associated tools. - Proven ability to manage meetings with parents and children facing behavioural and/or personality disorders. - Ability to maintain personal safety and emotional stability; ease in adopting an assertive stance and positioning oneself effectively. - Driving licence and personal vehicle essential
