The Saphir Foundation, a multi-mission foundation (psychogeriatrics, geriatrics, adult psychiatry), is active in the medico-social field in the canton of Vaud and in the reception and support of people weakened in their physical and mental integrity during their life process.
The Temporary Reception Centre (CAT) Les Sources in Yverdon-les-Bains has 21 places for geriatric care; this reception centre is open from Monday to Friday. Within this framework, we are looking for a:
Social and Educational Assistant (M/F/D) - Permanent Contract - 80% - CAT Les Sources
Whatever their role, the professionals of the Saphir Foundation share a common goal, that of supporting people daily to enable them to concretely experience the institutional service strategy "like at home". That is to say, preserving their habits as much as possible, offering a response adapted to their wishes and, through genuine interprofessional collaboration, ensuring the well-being and happiness of the people.
In collaboration with the team or independently, you will be responsible for preparing and organising daily socio-cultural activities for the people and, of course, accompanying them in their implementation.
You are an imaginative person who enjoys proposing new ideas and making contacts throughout the day. You know that organisation and rigour in the transmission of information are essential to guarantee the smooth running of a facility. Above all, the well-being of the people is close to your heart and you bring creativity to your interventions.
YOUR BACKGROUND - YOUR QUALITIES AND SKILLS
- Federal Certificate of Competence as a Social and Educational Assistant - Recognised 5 years’ experience in the field of geriatrics - Driving licence B and ability to drive a minibus - Fluency in spoken and written French as well as proficiency with IT tools - Dynamic, attentive, flexible and organised personality - Ease of communication and collaboration - Creative spirit, autonomy and initiative to develop stimulating and diverse activities. Good knowledge of the northern Vaud region is appreciated.
