Après-ski DJ & Bar job in the Jungfrau Region (Switzerland)

Après-ski DJ & Bar job in the Jungfrau Region (Switzerland)

Lauterbrunnen Vollzeit Kein Homeoffice möglich
F

We're looking for one person to do two jobs: help run the bar earlier in the day, then take over the decks in the late afternoon and carry the vibe through to close. Diverse, mostly après-ski hits - German, French, Italian, international - plus the willingness to talk to a crowd, not just play at one. Vibes are everything.

Who we are: Wyki Washbar & Cheese barn

Wyki Washbar & Cheese Barn sits halfway down the Lauberhorn piste, next to the Bumps T-bar, on the Mendelssohn trail - laundry lines overhead, a cheese wheel burger on the menu, and a raccoon nobody officially introduces you to.

We've taken over the legacy Wäschbar on the mountain, and this is our first season turning it into something that doesn't look or feel like anything else on the mountain - a slopeside restaurant and après-ski concept built around laundry, cheese, and a level of absurdist commitment we take completely seriously. Everything from the terrace to the playlist is being rebuilt from the ground up, and the person in this role helps shape what that actually becomes. If that sentence made sense to you, you'll fit in fine.

Tasks

Earlier - bar work. Serving, prepping, keeping the terrace running while the mountain fills up. Straightforward hospitality work, done properly, with a smile and good vibes.

Later - behind the decks. Reading a slope‑side crowd as it shifts from "still skiing" to "definitely done skiing". As the sun drops behind the peaks, the screens come alive and the whole terrace shifts gear - that transition is your moment. Building the set as the day builds, talking between and sometimes through songs - genuine crowd work, not just track selection. Get them pumped and dancing in their ski boots with a drink in their hands in a scenery that is unmatched

You're not choosing between these two roles. You're doing both, on the same shift, and that's the job.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Comfortable behind a bar - no fine dining polish required, just competence and pace
  • A strong sense for what gets an après-ski crowd going, across German, French, Italian, and international hits
  • Happy to talk on the mic between songs - some German or French is a strong plus, English is a must
  • Flexible, low‑ego, up for a first season somewhere new rather than a polished résumé line
  • You don't need to be established. You don't need to be known. We'd genuinely rather you weren't - this is a real chance to build a name for yourself on a mountain that’s about to have one too

Benefits

What you get

  • A season at 1,707m with a direct view of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau from your workplace
  • CHF 4,500/month with a private room in a shared staff house, or CHF 5,000/month if you organize your own accommodation - both based on roughly 5 days/week from 9am-6:00pm
  • Your Jungfrau region season ski pass reimbursed at local price (CHF 570) when you complete the season with us
  • A genuinely blank canvas: you help shape what the afternoons here feel like, from day one
  • A team that takes the absurd stuff seriously and the serious stuff lightly
