We are seeking for a
Child-Friendly English Speaking Housekeeper in the outskirts of Berlin!
40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, some weekends and evenings upon prior agreement.
About Family
Family, based in a beautiful residence in Berlin, is seeking a dedicated English speaking housekeeper.
The family consists of two adults expecting a baby later this year, and a friendly family pet.
They highly value discretion, trustworthiness, and flexibility in their staff and are looking for someone who can seamlessly become a part of their family.
Position Overview
This role is a blend of housekeeping duties and occasional childcare responsibilities, offering a full-time position with flexible hours.
The ideal candidate will have a background in household management and experience in homes with small children.
Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping (80%)
- General cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Laundry care: washing, ironing, and handling delicate fabrics.
- Waste management: clearing rubbish and recycling.
- Bathroom and kitchen cleaning, including deep-cleaning appliances.
- Weekly food shopping and maintaining household supplies.
- Changing bed linens and keeping wardrobes tidy.
- Caring for indoor plants and occasional dog walking.
- Running errands and assisting with household maintenance.
- Child care (20%)
- Assisting with newborn care, including babysitting and light childcare.
- Being a reliable support for the primary caregiver during work or appointments.
- Willing to undertake first aid training (provided by the client).
Additional Duties
- Light cooking and meal preparation.
- Assisting with dinner parties or events at home.
- Handling deliveries and household security.
- Working on a rota, including travel and up to 2 weekends per month.
- Occasional babysitting during evenings.
- Accompanying the family on rare trips or house/dog sitting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping roles with a high cleaning standard.
- Experience working in families with young children.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
- Comfortable with light cooking and food preparation.
- Valid driver's license preferred for errands.
- Highly discreet, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo first aid training.
Benefits
- Salary: €36000 to €48000 + GPA (depending on qualifications and experience)
- Holiday Allowance: 25-30 days per year
- Live-Out Position with potential live-in accommodation for evening/overnight work (private en-suite, access to home gym and sauna)
