About Us

Digital experience, content, and software solutions form the foundation of this organisation’s work across the media, internet, and business services sectors. Our client develops technology that helps businesses create, manage, personalise, and distribute digital content while improving how customers engage with brands and services. Its environment combines software innovation, implementation expertise, and commercial insight to support complex transformation programmes for organisations operating at scale.

With a broad portfolio spanning digital marketing, content management, commerce, and related technology services, the organisation works on projects where product capability must be translated into measurable business value. This setting offers experienced delivery professionals the opportunity to contribute to sophisticated technology engagements with international stakeholders and demanding customer outcomes.

Job Description

The Project Manager will lead complex digital technology engagements from initial definition through delivery and formal closeout. Based in London, the role will establish clear delivery plans, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage commercial and operational controls, and maintain momentum across projects involving digital marketing, content, commerce, or related software solutions.

Success will depend on turning ambiguous requirements into achievable delivery strategies, maintaining confidence among customers and senior stakeholders, and identifying issues before they affect scope, quality, cost, or timelines. You will operate across distributed teams, balance strategic oversight with practical intervention, and provide the structure required to deliver valuable outcomes in a fast-moving technology environment.

The position also carries responsibility for strengthening delivery standards beyond individual engagements. By sharing lessons learned, supporting consistent project practices, and contributing informed guidance on implementation approaches, you will help improve both customer results and the maturity of the wider project management function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the complete project lifecycle, from discovery, estimation, and solution definition to execution, transition, and closure.
  • Convert customer objectives and technical requirements into structured scopes, delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Coordinate internal specialists, customer contacts, partners, and geographically distributed contributors to maintain aligned execution.
  • Control budgets, forecasts, resourcing, schedules, invoicing, change requests, and commercial performance throughout each engagement.
  • Establish effective governance, including status reporting, steering updates, decision tracking, risk reviews, and issue escalation.
  • Apply proportionate risk and quality controls, resolving delivery obstacles early and protecting agreed customer outcomes.
  • Facilitate clear communication with executive stakeholders, translating delivery detail into concise business-focused updates.
  • Use agile and hybrid delivery practices where appropriate, adapting ceremonies and controls to the needs of each project.
  • Provide practical guidance on digital marketing, content, commerce, and transformation delivery approaches.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to the development of project management standards, templates, and repeatable practices.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience managing digital marketing, digital experience, software implementation, or technology transformation projects.
  • Evidence of delivering projects for a software provider, technology consultancy, systems integrator, or complex customer-side transformation function.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing, campaign management, marketing automation, content management, commerce, or related enterprise platforms.
  • Exposure to solutions such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Commerce, or comparable technologies is advantageous.
  • Confidence managing either a substantial standalone programme or multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong command of project controls, including planning, estimation, forecasting, budget management, dependencies, risks, issues, and change.
  • Practical experience with agile frameworks, Scrum, hybrid delivery models, or other structured technology delivery methods.
  • Ability to present clearly to senior and executive stakeholders and to influence decisions without relying on formal authority.
  • Commercial awareness, sound judgement, and a disciplined approach to prioritisation and problem solving.
  • Experience working effectively with virtual teams across regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • A recognised project management qualification, consulting background, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional fluency in English; additional European language capability would be beneficial.

Benefits

  • Lead high-value digital transformation engagements where delivery quality and customer outcomes are visible to senior decision-makers.
  • Work across a varied technology portfolio covering digital experience, content, marketing, commerce, and software services.
  • Gain exposure to complex international programmes and collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines and locations.
  • Develop deeper expertise in enterprise technology implementation, commercial governance, and customer advisory delivery.
  • Receive opportunities to influence project management standards and shape more consistent ways of working across the delivery function.
  • Build a strong professional network through engagement with senior customers, technical experts, delivery leaders, and strategic partners.
  • Access a role with meaningful scope for progression as the organisation continues to expand its digital and software capabilities.
  • Benefit from the resources, systems, and professional environment required to manage sophisticated technology projects effectively.

Other

The role is based in London and will involve regular engagement with stakeholders working across different locations and time zones. The successful candidate should be comfortable operating in a distributed environment where priorities can evolve and delivery decisions must be made with pace and sound judgement.

Applications are particularly suited to project managers who combine structured governance with an adaptable, customer-oriented approach. Experience from enterprise software, digital consultancy, systems integration, or an internal transformation team will provide a strong foundation for the position.
