Overview
In this role you will manage OpenStack-based private cloud platforms within Fortinet’s MIS System team across the EMEA region. You drive deployment, automation, and reliability, coordinating with remote field engineers and teammates to deliver secure, scalable systems. You’ll handle incidents, patches, and upgrades to maintain production readiness, while building reproducible procedures to support ongoing growth. This is an opportunity to shape private cloud operations in a fast-paced, global environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage multiple production OpenStack private cloud infrastructures in EMEA within the MIS System team; support development and deployment of new platforms
- Handle incidents and technical escalations via conference calls, action coordination, troubleshooting, and technical analysis
- Install, configure, automate, and patch hundreds of Linux servers using git and Ansible
- Oversee EMEA system installation from hardware planning to host installation, configuration, and tuning
- Collaborate with remote teammates and field engineers
- Participate in change management, perform production changes, upgrades, and security patches per processes
- Manage on-call to provide 24/7 support with the team
- Create and share procedures in Wiki and scripts in repositories
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Around 5 years of experience with production platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced experience in Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Experience in OpenStack administration
- Experience in at least one scripting language (Ansible, Python, Bash) and git repository management
- Experience in change management processes, Jira
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and team collaboration skills
