About the Opportunity

Foxmont Talent is supporting an established Swiss technology company looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join its growing engineering team in the Zurich region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working beyond a single technology stack, combining Microsoft Azure, Cloud Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, Security and DevOps within a varied and technically challenging environment.

You’ll play an important role in designing, developing and maintaining modern cloud solutions, with opportunities to work on infrastructure modernisation, automation and cloud-native technologies.

The position would suit an experienced Cloud Engineer, Senior System Engineer or DevOps Engineer looking to broaden their technical responsibilities while continuing to develop their expertise.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure, virtual machines and Windows Server environments
• Support Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace and Azure Virtual Desktop solutions
• Develop infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions
• Work with containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Implement and maintain network, firewall and cloud security solutions
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and reliability
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues
• Contribute to cloud migration, modernisation and infrastructure transformation projects
• Collaborate with engineering teams and technical stakeholders on infrastructure improvements

Your Profile

• Several years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure or DevOps
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure
• Solid understanding of Windows Server, networking and virtualisation
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop or Modern Workplace technologies
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation using Terraform, PowerShell, Ansible or comparable tools
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other cloud-native technologies is advantageous
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
• Understanding of cloud security, firewalls, identity management and infrastructure protection
• Experience with Linux environments is beneficial
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams
• Ability to confidently interview and communicate professionally in both German and English is a major advantage.
