We’re looking for an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join a technology-focused team responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving a modern cloud-native infrastructure environment.
You’ll play a key role in developing a scalable Kubernetes platform, working across infrastructure, automation and platform engineering. This is an opportunity to contribute to the design and evolution of the underlying architecture while working with a strong range of modern Cloud Native technologies.
The Role
- Design, develop and operate a Kubernetes platform based on Kubernetes, Cluster API and OpenStack
- Contribute to the architecture and ongoing development of the platform
- Develop Kubernetes Operators and REST APIs to support complex infrastructure and service requirements
- Troubleshoot technical issues, carry out root-cause analysis and implement robust, long-term solutions
- Automate infrastructure and platform processes using GitOps principles
- Work with ArgoCD and Kustomize to manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployments
- Support the continuous improvement, reliability, and scalability of the platform
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Your Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kubernetes platform operations
- Solid knowledge of Linux-based infrastructure and systems administration
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and Cloud Native technologies
- Good understanding of GitOps, configuration management and infrastructure automation
- Experience developing complex tools, ideally using Go
- Experience with Kubernetes Operators and/or REST APIs would be beneficial
- Familiarity with Cluster API and OpenStack is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop sustainable solutions
- A proactive approach to learning and keeping up to date with evolving technology
- Good German and conversational English skills
