What you will do

At our site in Straubing, you will work on the development of thermocatalytic processes for the synthesis of platform chemicals and liquid energy carriers (synthetic fuels) from renewable raw materials. The processes follow Power-to-X approaches and are mostly based on the use of CO2 as a carbon source.

  • Design and support process development from laboratory to pilot scale, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of tests on continuously and batch-operated reactors, as well as the scientific utilization and presentation of the results in specialist articles and at conferences.

  • Provide technical and planning support for the construction of experimental infrastructure for chemical process development, particularly reactor plants. Additionally, supervise students and student theses.

What you bring to the table

  • A university degree with very good results in chemistry, chemical engineering, or process engineering with a completed doctorate.
  • Huge interest in Power-to-X technologies.

  • In-depth knowledge in the application of analytical techniques (GC-MS, LC, NMR, etc.).

  • Enjoy working with complex systems and solving technical problems in everyday laboratory work.

  • The ability to work independently on scientific questions and to develop new solutions.

  • Confident command of written and spoken English.

  • Responsibility for yourself and your actions.

What you can expect
