Role Description The Information Technology Support Technician is a contract, on‑site role based in Vienna, Austria. This role focuses on providing hands‑on technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and related peripherals in a corporate environment. Day‑to‑day tasks include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, performing computer and printer repairs, and supporting users with installation, configuration, and upgrades. The technician will manage incident tickets, document solutions, collaborate with other IT team members, and follow established procedures for troubleshooting and escalation. The role may also involve assisting with rollouts, hardware moves, and basic network connectivity checks to ensure stable and secure IT operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for user‑facing and back‑end IT issues.
Candidates should possess hands‑on experience with Desktop Computers, laptops, and common operating systems.
Candidates should possess practical Printer Support skills, including setup, configuration, and issue resolution.
Candidates should possess Computer Repair skills, including hardware diagnostics, component replacement, and basic configuration.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are beneficial.
Experience in an on‑site corporate or data center environment is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with end users and team members.
Ability to follow documented procedures, maintain accurate records, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
