Key Tasks
The ATM Tower Operations department focuses on the implementation and operation of modern tower solutions for safe and efficient air traffic control. This includes integrated information, decision-support, and control systems, as well as video-based digital tower solutions. Frequentis combines deep ATM (Air Traffic Management) domain expertise with innovative technology to enable our customers to operate their towers safely and efficiently.
Strategic Leadership : You are responsible for the operational and strategic leadership of the teams, consistently aligning all activities with the corporate vision and business unit (BU) goals.
Project Portfolio Management : You set up international projects for the BU Towers, oversee their implementation, and ensure long-term customer retention through the maintenance phase.
Budget & Results Responsibility : You take charge of the planning and control of resources, tasks, and budgets, including transparent and timely reporting to senior management.
Performance & Optimization : You drive the planning, implementation, and tracking of all measures to achieve targets and optimize processes regarding cost, quality, and efficiency.
Stakeholder Management : Acting as a central hub, you coordinate internal and external resources and manage escalations with confidence and poise.
Talent & Resource Management : You drive the continuous development of yourself and your teams, identify key talent, and foster a motivating work environment.
Risk Management & Compliance : You evaluate opportunities and risks for the Frequentis Group and ensure full compliance with all legal guidelines and internal regulations.
Decision-Making & Culture : You embody the Frequentis leadership principles and independently make the decisions necessary for the positive development of your division and the company as a whole.
Key Qualifications
Academic Foundation : University degree (e.g., in Technology, Engineering, Aviation, Business, or IT) and project certification for IPMA, PMI and/or PRINCE2.
Proven Leadership : Several years of leadership experience in a corporate environment, ideally within the Air Traffic Management (ATM) and/or software industry, as well as a track record in managing complex projects for public sector clients.
Business Mindset : Strong entrepreneurial thinking and sound business acumen for managing KPIs and budgets.
Resilient Personality : You stand out for your structured approach and maintain a calm composure even in critical situations. You are characterized by high commitment and the ability to solve challenges efficiently with a practical, hands-on mentality.
Strong Communication : Proficiency in English (business fluent) and the ability to confidently represent complex issues to various stakeholders.
Strategic Foresight : The ability to identify industry trends early on and successfully translate them into operational department practice.

Salary: The remuneration for this position consists of the collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 90,000 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) plus an overpayment in line with the market depending on your qualifications and experience.
