Overview
As a Senior Engineer for FrontiersOS, you design and build a full-stack platform that embeds AI agents into Frontiers’ workflows. You’ll shape end-to-end architecture across editorial, research integrity, and publishing operations to amplify human work with AI, not replace it. You’ll work on real, cross-functional problems and ensure safety, reliability, and scalability in production. This role offers the chance to impact how publishers harness AI to accelerate science within a mission-driven, collaborative team.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design, build, and operate FrontiersOS end to end, including architecture, backend, frontend, model orchestration, evals, and access surfaces
- Enable self-service for editors, analysts, and marketers to assemble agents and automations without an engineering queue
- Architect for reliability and scale to support critical production workflows
- Build auditing and evaluation layers for agents and related systems
- Incorporate AI-assisted development into your workflow with rigorous review for generated code
- Take full accountability for shipped work, including agent-generated outputs
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- 1-2 years of proven production AI/LLM delivery
- Strong system design and architecture skills
- Systems thinking across agents, workflows, and downstream consumers
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and AI coding tools
- Experience with evaluation methodology for AI/agentic systems
- Strong cross-department communication skills
- Curiosity for AI-native ways of working and demonstrable projects (GitHub repo, side project, or portfolio)
- Fast learner of unfamiliar business domains (editorial and research integrity workflows)
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
