We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, cross-departmental projects within Proximus, ensuring their successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. The role requires steering virtual teams across different departments, maintaining continuous alignment between business and technical stakeholders, and following the Proximus project management methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope Management: Ensure internal clients‘ needs are met by delivering business/technical solutions in line with agreed requirements. Challenge scope changes throughout the project duration to maintain focus and prevent unnecessary alterations.
- Cost Management: Collaborate with all involved parties to define and secure project budgets. Obtain necessary approvals from governance bodies and track potential budget variances to avoid overspending.
- Time Management: Work with project teams to create clear and realistic project plans that align with objectives and resource availability. Ensure commitment from all departments and challenge timelines to guarantee timely delivery.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify risks/issues and initiate appropriate actions to mitigate them. Escalate any major project issues to management or stakeholders, allowing them to intervene as needed.
- Reporting & Communication: Maintain continuous communication with management across all impacted departments, keeping them fully informed of project progress to avoid surprises.
- People Management: Provide daily management and coaching for virtual teams, ensuring optimal team performance and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in complex business and technical environments, managing multiple end-to-end IT development projects.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Project Management methodologies (PMI, Prince 2, Agile).
- Proficiency in Office tools (Word, Excel, MS-Access, MS Project, and PowerPoint).
Key Competencies & Attributes:
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage virtual teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to remain composed and productive in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
