Overview:

We are the Fujifilm second line support team (10 enthusiastic employees) on digital printing in the region of EMEA and supporting the related products and network.

We provide technical expertise to assist introducing new printing machines into the market and helping to identify and resolve technical issues during the lifecycle of those products. The goals of the Technical Support function are to steer Fujifilm towards increased levels of customer satisfaction and profitability.

After providing you with intense training on the products, part of this job will be, beside supporting machine installations to analyze, manage and improve the quality and service performance of those products. As well as conducting training and workshops for, technical community in Europe to enable best in class product support. This is done with very close communication between some end users, the local support teams and Fujifilm Japan.

The nature of the role is likely to change over the time dependent on the requirements, from a high level of travel and field support to a more office based remote support role. It is envisaged this will change significantly, and therefore a high level of adaptability and flexibility is essential to be able to manage these changes in the role.

About the role:

This position reports to the Supervisor 2nd line support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical 2nd level escalation support for internal and external service network in Europe, from remote or on-site.
  • Manage and support products throughout their lifecycles to Fujifilm subsidiaries and distributors, including new product launch support.
  • Utilising and implementing new service and support tools, like remote support and collaboration tools, to the service community in Europe for continuous improvement.
  • Responsibility for Knowledge Management in the technical area. This includes creation and distribution of technical bulletins and assistance and guidance for the creation of new knowledge articles in the Fujifilm knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Very high technical aptitude, problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose technical problems
  • Strong knowledge of Electromechanics
  • Good IT skills – you analyse software or other IT problems and try to solve them while actively thinking about ways to prevent problems and provide users with good service.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload, and also a team player
  • Very good ability to collaborate, communicate, and adapt within an international team context.
  • Fluent English skills
  • Adaptability to engage with different culture
  • Results-oriented with a desire to see things through. Resilient with strong follow up skills.
  • Prepared to frequently travel abroad.
