As aApplication Developer, you will support our customers in developing innovative solutions for challenging optimization and simulation problems while working at the intersection of business and technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment on innovative customer projects.
• Develop mathematical models and algorithms to solve complex optimization challenges.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical and mathematical solution approaches.
• Design use cases and solution concepts for customers using quantum computing technologies.
• Contribute to projects in areas such as:
  • Routing and route optimization
  • Logistics and transportation planning
  • Scenario and risk analysis
  • Portfolio optimization
  • Resource and capacity planning
• Research scientific publications and emerging trends in quantum computing and assess their applicability to customer projects.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Computer Science
  • Telecommunications
  • Engineering
  • Or a comparable field of study
• Master's degree with a specialization in Quantum Computing
• At least one year of professional experience, ideally within the IT, technology, or consulting industry
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Strong programming skills and hands-on experience with Python
• Broad knowledge of quantum algorithms and quantum information theory
• Experience in modeling Ising and QUBO problems
• Experience with quantum computing SDKs and related development environments
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to different audiences
• Ability to quickly analyze and evaluate scientific publications and practical application papers in the field of quantum computing
• Ability to derive technical solution approaches from abstract business requirements and constraints
